UNCLOTHED
As sustainable fashion becomes more popular, people are increasingly shopping at second-hand stores. On the surface, it seems like a good and sustainable clothing choice, but the low prices often tempt people to buy much more clothing than they actually need. In the end, the result is a closet filled with all these clothes that, at best, are worn only once. Perhaps the most sustainable solution is to consider purchases and not buy more than is truly necessary.
The artist thinks that people and their personalities are far more important than the clothing they have on. The collection is made from deconstructed second-hand clothing, integrating translucent fabrics to emphasize what is visible underneath – the people wearing them.
